Ongoing—Phase 1 is complete and Phase 2 is underway.

To help Fairview Container Terminal maximize the number and size of ships going through the brand new berth, and the continued expansion of the terminal

In Phase 1, we assisted the port with designing a new container berth and developed safe piloting practices. This included consultation and simulations to perfect the berth design, tug processes in order to anticipate different tide currents and wind patterns, and the ways in which the ship will be maneuvered to enter the harbour safely. BC Coast Pilots are continuing the consultation and simulation work in future phases of the terminal expansion.
